Iowa State Vs. Nebraska Game Thread

Down 19 points against Nebraska.

We are horrible. Can we just forfeit our remaining games and the Big 12 Tourney opener?

Holy embarrassing. A reporter needs to ask if McDermott is embarrassed...not by the effort, not by the determination...but by the results. I am so embarrassed to be a Cyclone right now.

Not that I just figured these things out, but:
FACT = Sean Haluska should never play.
FACT = If Garrett is still the starting PG by the time conference games start next year, I will be very disappointed (or giddy with delight that he improved so much)
FACT = Brackins' touch is silky sweet.
FACT = Staiger can shoot 3s. Period. As in, he can do nothing else. If he played in the American League, he'd be the DH for sure.
FACT = We have a lot more pain to ride out before this thing turns around.
(unless Craig stays...then I give us a shot to be respectable if we get some player improvement over the off-season and Colvin and Gilstrap live up to expectations)

Opinion: Greg McD gets out-coached in the 2nd half most of the time.

So McDermott is now 44-48 at ISU after tonights game??? We win Texas Tech game and maybe a game in the Big 12 tourney and he is at best 46-49 in three seasons at ISU. Not to mention 10 players that chose not to play for him anymore in three years. Not melting down but obviously he needs to go.

We are just horrible. I have not been watching the game very closely, but it looks as though only CB and Staiger made the trip. Great.

Is every road game the same? Keep it sorta close for a half, then the other team makes adjustments and finds a rhythm and ends up beating us by 10 to 15 points? How can that happen every time out?

In all honesty, ISU basketball has been just as hard to watch as ISU football the last couple years. And I love and live for ISU sports. Man GMac better do well next year, because 4 years is enough. Look at Mizzou.

Yes, every single road game.

Yes, yes you are melting down. Don't hide it. And NO, McDermott does NOT need to go.

I'm as frustrated as everyone else right now, but firing McDermott at this point is stupid.

That may be, but I've also noticed that it seems that Brackins starts missing shots in the "3rd quarter" of the game. Then, he catches his 2nd wind, and finishes strong.

We could sit him more in the 1st half, but that causes problems, too.

I would just like to say that this is the worst group of players i have ever seen at Iowa State. The basketball IQ of our team looks to be somewhere in the D- range. McD is has no idea what he is doing and is way out of his league!! Pollard should can him as soon as they get blown out in the first round of the Big XII tournament.

Is it GMac's fault that the players have butter fingers tonight? Do we really have to go through the whole blame GMac game after every loss?
