NJ may be dominated by pro sports, but in any case Rutgers is the only power 5 program in a state with over 9 million people, smack in the middle of the most highly populated corridor in the country.
Dylan Harper's brother, Ron Harper Jr, recently played at Rutgers. He is a local kid.
Not sure how they got Ace Bailey.

Most people won’t realize how massive of a win that was. That was our 2nd toughest game remaining according to metrics.
Right and honestly Texas is bubblelicious. They need every win they can get especially at home. I’m not convinced they make it.
They still need to win some games, but they're pretty far from being on the bubble right now.
Flip that game tonight to a win for the Cows and you get this...
So, it was a big swing in their season so far. But Iowa State is good enough even a home loss against the Cyclones isn't an absolutely devastating blow when Texas does have some nice wins.

Love these style charts - especially when there's an arrow from ISU pointing to "last 5 national champs". Many such charts this year are pointing to us having the "right mix" of offense and defense to be very successful
VTech and aTm both fell out of the Top 50 in NET this last update so we now have two Quad 2 losses, lame.
VCU is up to 80 though, so that win is a Quad 2 now (I don't think it was before)

Does the committee take Quad 1/2/3/4 wins/losses from the date the game took place or when selection actually occurs?
I believe they use rankings at the time of selection, not from the date of the game. That is what the records in ncaa.com NET shows.
The committee also ostensibly considers other factors, e.g. beating #1 UNC on a neutral floor last year was a "big win" even if they weren't #1 anymore at selection time.

At selection time. A team could get hot (or cold) and move lot's of spots before then.
VCU has won 7 of 8. Huge game against Dayton on Friday night.
VCU is safely a Quad 2 win right now. Their NET is up to 80.

I think VCU crossed into Q2 a couple of wins ago, but yes it had been Q3 for quite some time. I think it was been a 2 at the time of ISU-VCU, then dipped, can't remember exact timeline.
