Iowa State has a history of far less than mediocrity. Matt Campbell is our pathway to success. We are getting there. Improving. And I am optimistic about our future. Trust Campbell. Enjoy the ride. STFU.

Winning a Big 12 Championship would be great! But considering Matt Campbell is the closest to do it in the modern history of Iowa State football, it seems pretty reasonable to stick with him rather than go with a new hire who is probably more likely to have a losing record over five years than he is to actually win a Big 12 Championship.

Unless you have the money in hand and a candidate in mind who can practically guarantee a championship, it seems pretty weird to run off the coach who's gotten closer than anyone else.

I thought the thread was stupid and called out the OP for his peacocking in back to back weeks after a loss. But just as disingenuous and annoying are the people who, after a turnaround, act like they were hardcore defending CMC in the moment because it was obvious they were going to figure things out this season. And with the benefit of hindsight now attack people in here who were feeling differently at the lowest part of the season. Or the crusaders who, weeks later, deleted their thoughts from immediately following the game. You know who you are. And I say all this as somebody who agrees with and was posting pretty much the same as what Stormin was saying right here.

I'm not attacking anyone, but maybe the lesson to be learned is not to make reactionary posts that you may regret later so much that you are tempted to delete them.

I really don't care about people using y'all, but if that is the way you feel about it you do realize that LA could stand for Louisiana, don't you? It doesn't get much more deep south than that...

I'm amazed at the number of people who are still complaining about the worst poster in this thread. When I do get curious what set someone off and I'm tempted to look at what he said I am reassured that I did the correct thing in ignoring him 100% of the time. And my ignore list is extremely short, countable on one hand if you are only looking at active posters.

Ignore him already. It is obvious all he wants is attention and you are giving it to him.
