LilMissWx started kindergarten today. She was adamant she would never ever eat a school lunch. We explained that we are lazy and under no circumstance would she get a packed lunch everyday. She comes home and lunch was her favorite part.

All of our best wishes, positive vibes, and hope for the very best outcome from the CloneLawPersons.
Not that I've given the serious, heart-felt post...
Can you pay a little extra and wind up a Gene Simmonsesque tongue?

Yes, Z is definitely in school mode immediately. She went back to her pre-spring 2022 mode, worked upstairs. We traded off spots for updates and chatting, but it was crazy quiet here today.
I wrote out a plan for subjects. She did whatever she wanted anyway, and that all worked out.

I also got to see again just how crazy fast she works. I was worried about time with our upcoming excursions for homeschool band, but she showed again why stuff works with her.

Lunch was a nightmare for Z in kindergarten. Teacher sent notes to have the selection ready, and they would make that when they greeted right inside the door.
Z picked the sunbutter sandwich. Apparently, that wasn't common (go figure), so the teacher only had the other two choices available. We worked out pretty quickly why Z was having trouble making a choice. It was just two choices she didn't want.

Ours was 116 yesterday. Currently my phone app show it as a cool 106. I really need to mow but I'm not sure I need to mow that badly
You don’t.
And btw, in nine months I foresee an absolute dearth of births in Iowa and the Midwest. @wxman1 your wife might get some time off then.

Spent an entire day there when I visited my grandmother who lives in Elk Grove Village. One of the shops we where in still had people who were there at the time and they had lots of stories to tell.

Would love to visit on Groundhog's Day as they always have a big party on that day.
Only thing I (kinda) got is that my dad watched them film the parade scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off from his office building window. You can see his building as the three main characters are walking away after the parade.

(Sorry for post spam)
While I looked for an image from the movie, I was reminded there was a short-lived "Ferris Bueller" TV series. Here's a cast pic. Recognize anyone?
