Have any of you been in a situation where you just started a job, and recently received a better offer from another company. I might be finding myself in this situation. Theoretically its a good position to be in, but I would feel terribly guilty about leaving the job I just started (which I know is stupid because I need to do whats best for me and my family, and my current emloyer wouldn't think twice of letting me go if I wasn't meeting their standards).

Last few cans of Zero Sugar Mt Dew I have barely opened have literally fizzed all over after opening (not like a Mentos type of all over). They have been in the fridge upright and not shaken at all. Make me wonder if they are like over filled. Just weird.

On a related note, the last couple of months many times when we try to open a half liter bottle of Dr. Pepper or Diet Dr. Pepper the lid is screwed on so tight we have a devil of a time getting it off. I mean ridiculously tight - battle with it for five or ten minutes. Then the next one will open without a problem. I don't know if they have one bottling machine at the plant not calibrated right or what.

1. Did you sign any sort of contract?
2. Is it just money, a better fit or both?
3. In the end do what you feel is best for you.
4. Maybe the current job will counter

I signed my offer letter, but its at-will employment which as far as I understand means I can leave at anytime and they can let me go at any time. I would be okay being at my current job, but I think this other job may be a better fit for me (will find out more during the interview).

It's a dog eat dog world for good employees. Do what's best for you.

Kiddo finished her last 4th grade lessons today. Couple final exams and 4th grade is really through.

Then a few weeks focused on finishing languages and our little research project. It feels like this year was different than we planned, but still really too fast.

We've exhausted what our main program does for languages (mostly). Looks like part of summer is digging around for more.

So how many grades is she ahead now?
