Well the yard got a 50 cent mowing today. Got back around 730 was going to relax but realized I could get the lawn done, Popped of the air breather threw a splash of gas down the carburetor started right off. Glad I didn't have new blades on only stick I picked up was one 1.5 inches thick and about 6 ft long.

Might not be perfect but a lot better and it looks good from the road. :)

I was wrapping firewood bundles today, had 113 to do to finish wrapping 200. I fill a pickup truck with wood, then bring it back down to the shop to wrap, which is about 40 bundles.

Last load I have 24 to go, so I go out back to throw more wood in. I told myself no matter where I stop throwing wood in, I'll be short by 1 bundle.

Drive back down to the shop. Use up all the wood. One short.
I would have stopped after the first throw. Then you would only have that one toss and one bundle.

On a related note, the last couple of months many times when we try to open a half liter bottle of Dr. Pepper or Diet Dr. Pepper the lid is screwed on so tight we have a devil of a time getting it off. I mean ridiculously tight - battle with it for five or ten minutes. Then the next one will open without a problem. I don't know if they have one bottling machine at the plant not calibrated right or what.
It could be temperature differences. Put a warm bottle in the fridge and the next day the cap is sucked tight.

Today I found out what it’s like to drive on weed I think. Spent 15 hours driving between 5-6 mph. Got into the pickup to come home and thought I was flying down the road so I checked my speed. Right at 40.

Stop at Casey's or somewhere and everything just seems loud I guess is the best way to describe it though no different than any other time you stop.

One core memory I have...we had a week of rain off and on to where it didn't allow time for the lawn to dry out. We finally had 36+ hours of no rain, and the plan was to mow that day. But, suddenly, another storm was 30-45 minutes out. My mom pointed me to the garage and said "Front and sides, go!" Quickly got the gutter spouts off, and got the lawn mower out of the garage. I had that John Deere going full throttle around the front and side yard. Just beat the rain.

And that's the time I gave our lawn a mullet.

Temperature difference doesn't explain why it has only happened in the last couple of months or why one coming out of the fridge has this problem and the one sitting there right next to it is just fine.

So how many grades is she ahead now?

Depends who you talk to. I'd buckle up, because this is quite an answer coming.

Based on when she started preschool, she's right on track. I added some things to broaden the experience instead of doing 2 years in one again. I figured that was going to lead us into some really weird/tough scenarios, like college @ 12.

But, since we did a "why hurry" year and did E-K instead of going straight to Kindergarten, Ames has her listed as a 3rd grader. We're trying to get that changed so she can do band and learn flute this coming year, but no response from the school yet. Probably just emailing the registrar, who had some good answers when we dropped in.

So she's really right on track, kind of, mostly. She did an elective that we see now is 6th grade Social Studies, so I'm making plans there. She's exhausted almost every foreign language elective our main program offers for high school, so I've got some digging around to do to set her up for fall. The site does offer a quick immersion thing in Portuguese that Z has had her eye on, so we'll get that in there, too. This time around, it sounds like she's interested by grabbing some foreign language books and reading them as well.

But she's right on track overall with a really nice, broad base of extra stuff to fit her interests. I'll be curious where all this leads.

I signed my offer letter, but its at-will employment which as far as I understand means I can leave at anytime and they can let me go at any time. I would be okay being at my current job, but I think this other job may be a better fit for me (will find out more during the interview).
If the second job is a better fit and the first job will show little loyalty to you, there's no reason to not take the second job.

That is, if the second job is a stable position. If you turn down the second job, they may be wiling to hire you again. If you quit the first job, they probably wouldn't hire you again.

Most importantly, you seem to have 2 pretty good choices so you probably won't make a wrong choice.

I would love to pick your brain on some education/performance measurement stuff if you are interested in discussing

Yeah the 2nd job is actually for a place I worked for but was part of a layoff. They've shown once they have no problem with letting people go, but that's just corporate America. I keep going back and forth but I think I need to give my current job more time - I know it just takes months to settle in a new role.

I just hate making big decisions as I'll always wonder if I made the wrong one.

A woman on facebook keeps sharing garbage about the new season of American Idol

I don't post much on FB that is public, just to friends on my timeline and in private groups. Still, do comment on some postings in WWII Pictures and a few other sights that "public" can see. Had a couple of gal scammers stalking me with lately with "likes" and friend requests. These might be more plausible if these SE Asian gals were 60-something and not 20-something. LOL.

Probably just the Russian health club spies with fake accounts and pictures. Trying any way they can to get at 00-Boxster.
