Post game thoughts

No, but the coaches recruit...why is Huluska even on our team. We need to get better talent or McD needs to go.

Haluska is a walk-on. He's on the team because we didn't have any guards that could play last year. Plus, he is still one of the team's best defenders, although no one got it done today against Collins.

I just don't see how you can call out players like this. Haluska and Petey have done everything asked of them. Where would we be without them? Answer: Worse than we are now.

Game plan was good in my opinion, Mac can't go out and make the open shots. If Jamie or Sean hit those open looks we might have something. Lucca had difficulty getting his shot up. Craig had a great effort and was very efficient.

Mac can coach with anyone in the Big XII.

ABSOLUTELY my thoughts. I think that GMac had a good plan, but the shots just didn't fall. We're headed in the right direction.

On another note, I saw just a glimmer of rowdiness in the crowd on t.v., which was nice seeing that Hilton Magic (or anything even slightly close too it) hasn't been seen for quite some time.

Great post. How many players besides these two and Brackins will get down and dirty to win a game? No one.

Been saying this again and again - until we get somewhat consistent offensive help from guys not named Craig and Lucca - we will continue to lose. And we didn't even get help from Lucca tonight.

And frequently digging ourselves holes is killin' this team.

The biggest problems I see is that first, we are not strong enough. Second, we need people who can create their own shots. The bad thing is, we got so many problems on this team that even with next year's recruiting class, I don't know if it is enough to save McD's job. If there is not noticeable improvement next year. It is over for him.

I'm thinking only some fans think he is on the hot seat. If you could ask Jamie Pollard the same question, I'm sure he would tell you Greg is here to stay.

I'm sure we'll get a press release from the AD saying that he is ready to can the coach if he doesn't get it done next year. :jimlad:

Well of course he would, to say otherwise would be completely idiotic.

I agree with others, no reason to call out the players. They are doing the best they can. The coach gets paid the big bucks and he's the one responsible for putting them in a position to succeed.

I will not blame Greg for Diante forcing it into traffic, dribbling off his foot, etc.

I will blame him for not starting the game with Haluska defending Collins.

Undecided as to who should be blamed for Cy's head getting popped off.

I hate agreeing with you but this was my biggest gripe with Mac today. I don't understand everyone ripping on Sean after the game. I thought he played a great defensive game and was the only player on our team that could even come close to guarding Collins.

Realistic expectations people. Don't whine when you know we are at a talent disadvantage. Yes, we are playing three walk-ons. There is nothing we can do about that this season. Get over it and support the team we have. No one is happy we have to play them. No one is happy we are losing. Quit being women and stop ********. What a bunch of girls around here.

Opinions and pooh holes - everyone has one but they all stink.

We're 1 player away from being a fairly good team and that player is/was Wes and will be (I hope) Gilstrap. Someone who can create to go along with CB to go along with just average shooting by the guard court and we'd be in a different position.

Anyone watching Gameday? They should the high lights and actually had more Brackins high lights than KU high lights, and Bobby Knight said I don't care I want to talk about Butler, so he blah blah blahd about Butler while they were showing brackins high-lights. Then he ended it with we should be showing Butler and "not whoever the hell was playing Kansas" **** you Bob Knight

That ticked me off, too. Way to respect a big game against a big-time opponent. Bracking should be a household name nationwide right now, and he got blown off by "the General." That's just stupid.

Haluska was much better defensively than Peterson but he ws overmatched like whoever was on Brackins who scored against double teams. the gameplan wasn't the issue, we had a ton of open shots. if we make a reasonable number of those, we win. I had to bring it up but we really could use another scorer like the kid who transferred who shall remain nameless.

I didn't mean a reporter asking him that question. Of course is going to sugarcoat it. I still beleive that Pollard is going to give McD a whole lot of rope. There is no way he is on the hot seat with the AD. And if you could ask him (off the record) I'm sure he would tell you the same.
