You have said you wish JP would have hired a big name coach instead of GM. You never did answer my question on how many games you have watched.
1. Who would want to come to Ames and coach after 1. you ran the coach out of town that won 2 conference titles and took the team within mins of the final 4, 2. You ran a guy after only 3 years, 3. you run another guy after 3 years before he really gets a chance to get everything in place.
2. There is no quality experence to go with the youth and that is the issue, with this team.
3. Butler get the kids that fit their system and they run that system well. It has been in place for quite sometime now with older players that have played that system for 4 years teaching the younger players. I have said McD should take some blame for kids leaving, but there have also been issues out of his control that have lead to some of the players leaving. Others were not good enough to play at this level and they wanted to play. Yes he did bring those kids in but he needed bodies and he needed to take chances on kids. He has also brought 1 player this is in the NBA to Ames and 2 others that will play in the NBA someday. Yes 2 didnt work out but because of what McD did he now has his life in order and the other the info is fuzzy on why he left.
4. He dropped 42 on the defending national champs Kansas, that is a story.
