I am hoping Hunter is the type of kid who approaches the Cy-Hawk game with some fervor and urgency. The type of in-state kid that is gonna take a game like this personally, and not just treat it like another game. It has been a long time since we've seen an ISU team have that kind of mentality about this game. What Campbell has done for the overall culture of the program can't be understated, but I'd like him to get the monkey off his back finally this season.
With Hunter, I could see it going either way. Either we do see that passion and excitement about playing in the Cy-Hawk game, or we see him turtle up and just go through the motions until the final buzzer, kind of like last years team did. He grew up a Hawkeye fan, but that seems irrelevant at this point.
