Rasir Bolton. Tyrese Hunter plays defense and PG better than you. Iowa State went from 2 Wins with you to the Sweet Sixteen without you. Be thankful TJ knew you would not fit into his system. TJ made the correct call. Kind of crazy that TJ took a team to the Sweet Sixteen…..same as Gonzaga, which finished as National Runnerup the year before. And TJ is not done improving Iowa State.

Eh, Rasir has not had an easy life. There is no need to pile on him as a person and player.

Tyrese Hunter does play defense and PG better than Rasir. That is not derogatory towards Rasir. That is just stating what is true. And I did not make derogatory comments towards Rasir as a person. It is more of a compliment to TJ who recognizes that individual players have individual talents which will be of higher value in TJ’s Coaching Style. Rasir seems grateful for TJ’s honesty. Worked out for everyone.

I've decided to stop explaining comments to the village idiots.

Looks like a great one year replacement for Grill if Greene has to redshirt. ( hoping Omaha, Milan, Hamilton and Christie replace our 4 super seniors) i know we'd still have the open scholarship but I think it would be for another position.

He is not on big 12 level. I watch American East basketball. Actually wearing a UMBC shirt right now. I only know two players from the AE could play at our level and both play for Vermont. Ryan Davis and possibly Ben Shungu. THis kid from Stoney Brook might get 5-10 minutes a game possibly. If we have an open scholly it might be worth a flyer.

Agreed here. You never know how it works out once you get out of the top 20 or so guys. But Eli King seems to get overlooked in my eyes. He was the top option as a guard for the midwest schools (Iowa, MN, Marquette) and then Stanford who likes to swing into MN to handpick a guy every now and then. He was a 4-star top 75 guy but then didn't play summer ball due to rehabbing his knee so his rating dropped.

To me he's one of those Monte or Hali-level guys that could really make a good, immediate impact. Especially if you only need 15 minutes off the bench. Not saying he has their ceiling but I could see him as a similar glue guy as a freshmen. But the flip side is that for every Monte or Haliburton there's probably 2 or 3 Terrence Lewis'. But now we get to use this year to find out what we have in King (or Lipsey or Watson for that matter) without the season riding on them being a 10 ppg player.
I recently read a bit about Lipsey and watched some of his play. I was very impressed. He’s fast, strong, a fine passer and a good defender. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Top high school basketball player in Iowa this past season. He is a true point guard who shoots well, too.

Lipsey is really good in a lot of areas, and I think he'll do well as a Cyclone, but shooting the ball wasn't a strength of his in highschool. I just wouldn't expect a lot from him there early on.

His shot isn't broken though, and I can definitely see him becoming a solid enough option as a shooter as his game matures at this level.
