What McDoormat was responsible for was taking a successful program, completely sucking the life out of it, and basically burning it down to the ground.

His teams here for the most part were awful. And the ones that had some actual talent underachieved in large part because of his coaching.

The Wes Johnson stuff was disgraceful on McD's part. He didn't even know when WJ left campus here. How does a head coach not know this about his star player? And his cluelessness with regards to Harrison Barnes was also laughable.

He might be a likable guy, I don't know. And he's definitely improved as a head coach since going to Creighton. I will give him credit for that. He's changed his approach in some ways to good effect.

But his time at ISU was at best unremarkable and at worst, simply unwatchable basketball.

McDermott took over from Wayne Morgan. Labeling Wayne’s program as successful is being somewhat generous. We had serious problems. McDermott ran a very mediocre to slightly below program. Burning it completely to the ground and delivering completely unwatchable basketball was done by someone else a decade later. McDermott at least left without costing us millions. And thankfully he left.

No Wayne, your program was not successful and your best players were leaving even if you stayed.

Any problems any ISU coach faced were due to coaching negligence or professional malpractice.

Except for Greg McDermott who deliberately and intentionally tried to destroy ISU basketball.

Oh, yeah? The USS Iowa weighs 58,000 tons. Ok, ok, from a satellite view this ship looks like an ant moving on a sand beach when viewed powering through the sea, from space. (I've had a couple of beers tonight, please pardon me ;- )
Don't be ridiculous, the earth is flat.

New Taco Bell in my neighborhood seems specifically designed to serve T. Rex. Kitchen at eye level for the big guy.

So basically they built the kitchen on top so it can flow down like it does once you get home. Is there a flusher on the credit card kiosk?
