Anybody watch Loki yet???

Just got a car serviced so I watched it while waiting. No spoilers, but I will say it's very unlike any other Marvel thing I've seen. I think Owen Wilson is great. Fantastic setup episode. I mean it's nothing groundbreaking but Marvel just puts out good, quality shows. There will be a LOT of comparisons to another long running British TV show but I never got into that one at all and I gave it a very good shot. This is much better. Come at me bros.

A long running British show that I referenced in post #4625 of this thread?

You don't say?

HA

I just checked my Twitter feed. Took me about two minutes to realize I’ll have to skip Twitter for the rest of the day, until after I watch Loki this evening. I mean, the spoilers are right in the opening words, so you don’t even have to open the tweet.

Will be very interesting how much they go back and revisit events from the movies. I'm assuming this will setup the next Dr Strange movie? This seems to fit in his world nicely.

Watched a second time with family, caught a couple things i didn't the first time (after checking out Twitter spoilers) still good the second time

I will probably start Loki. That being said, it took me 1 episode of the Norwegian Netflix series "Ragnarok" to get more hooked than I have with any of the Marvel shows...

I'm watching Sweet Tooth on Netflix right now and honestly it's an extremely well made show. It's definitely right up there with anything Marvel has put out.

Saw the first episode of Loki last night. I at least found it intriguing, even if I'm not fully bought in yet. It's hard to take too much from the first episode, beings how nearly the entire thing is purely exposition. At least all that exposition is done through some amazing dialogue and acting from both Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson. Man, those dudes are fun watching go back and forth. I've always been a big Owen Wilson fan. Again, I'm just not a big time travel/multiverse fan, as I find both to be avenues of lazy writing in most cases. I mean really, what problem in any movie can't be solved or explained away simply with multiverse or time travel? It automatically takes the stakes and weight off of nearly everything if not written amazingly well. Not saying it can't be good, as there are instances where it is, but I'm always skeptical. To add to that skepticism, I absolutely HATED DC's Legends of Tomorrow show which is all surrounding DC's Timemasters, which is effectively DC's version of Marvel's Time Variance Authority. That show was terrible and I HATED how they used time travel so willy nilly.
