This, this, this. How many coaches have taken their teams from the repeated basement of the conference and made them a contender or even relevant. Even with Shaka Smart, he wasn't finishing 9th or 10th in the league...
Bruce Weber?

Unless he loses out we won't lose 20 games thenIts only Jan 14th.
We have 13 more games to go. This is going to get so much worse.
I no longer think Prohm's situation is gray - its becoming black and white.
Pending a complete miracle (winning 4-5 games of the 13), he's toast.
No. Bruce finished 10th last year after finishing first. He has 1 other year in the big 12 where they finished 8th in I think 2015-16. Other than last year and this year his worst stretch in the big 12 is T-6, 8, 6.Bruce Weber?
So it doesn't have to be 3 consecutive at .300 or worse, just 3 total, at one school?
(Not saying I'll be able to help with the research anyway, just checking specific parameters)
Bruce Weber?
Brad Brownell is a name that came to mind but even he hasn’t been as bad as prohm
Herb Sendeck had a stretch 2010-2012 where he went 19-35 (.351) in conference play and he went on to make NCAA tournament in 2013-14
The pac 10/12 was also terrible during his tenure there. Many times finishing behind the MWC and A10Sendek sort of fits. 19 and 21 loss seasons, then NIT, NCAA (1st round) and NIT, but then gone.
So relevant might not be the words, but he didn't stay in that wrecked condition.
Bruce Weber?
He finished 8th once prior to last year. Here are Bruce Weber's Big 12 finishes:
1
5
6
8
6
4
1
10
He has a conference record of 73-76 (.490).
As a comparison, Steve Prohm is 40-55 (.421) in Big 12 play.
I don't know if I have time, but it sounds fascinating to find out!
We could put a group together. Everyone picks a conference and finds out?
Should he be fired if he finished 9 or 10 this year?

Another close example
Tim miles took Nebraska to NCAA tournament in 2013-14 going 19-13 (11-7)
Then went 17-37 (.314) in B1G over next 3
Got it back on track in 2017-18 then lost it again in 2018–19
And by get there, Tim Miles lost in the 2nd round of the NIT, and was then fired. He never made the NCAA after the 2013-14 season. So, basically, from what we have thus far: You can kind of get there a little bit if your lows happen in a weak conference.
If Cali @ Kentucky keeps up at this rate, I could see Beard getting the offer, if somebody doesn't beat them to it.Agree. Beard is great. If he stays at Tech, I will not be surprised to see them win a title at some point.
They have started turning it around and are tied for 4th in the SEC. they also only have 4 more games against currently ranked teams left on their schedule. If Cali @ Kentucky keeps up at this rate, I could see Beard getting the offer, if somebody doesn't beat them to it.

I am betting on a change there this year, yes.Should he be fired if he finished 9 or 10 this year?
Summary? I'm not aware of the views, just curious.
I don’t really know but it sounds like he wasn’t well liked at least after the fact. I kind of got the impression that he was extremely in it for himself.Just curious what has been said about him? I don't know anything about him aside from that he coached Drake for what seemed like a very brief stint, had moderate success but no NCAA appearances, and jumped town the first chance he got...is that it?
