ISU opens as 14 pt favorite vs TTU

They are coming off the Cheap Shot Bowl with KSU really hard to know what will show up.

Still have to have huge doubts from blowing a 15 point lead with under 3 to go against Texas. (And wouldn't it be all the sweeter if Texas had that L going into the Red River)

It's a legitimate questions. Our field goal kicking has been good, but we've mostly kicked short ones. Kick return team is good. But, we get zero from the punt return team and we've given up two special teams touchdowns already. The coverage issues have been a lot better since the debacle in game 1 though.

I think you just identified the perimeters they consider. Toss on Rivera’s punting average.

Connolly has said that his ST estimates are particularly weird so far this year due to smaller than normal sample sizes. Plus there is still about 50% credit for preseason estimates which were based on last year's production. But the main thing is everyone is evaluated on the same scale, and with that big a difference we should be able to reasonably conclude that our ST are better than theirs even if the precise margin (margins!!!) is unknown.

Plus I don't think individual returns for touchdown hurt that badly because they are really rare. Its based much more on opponent's average starting position following a ST play.

Hall may run for 200 on Saturday. If we can pound it out on the ground and keep the Tech offense on the sideline it could be a long day for Tech. I actually kind of like the under in this game.

Think they had a hurt QB, not sure how bad though.

Clones defense is really perfectly situated to stop the Tech offense, just kind of a bad matchup for Tech the last few years.

Would not shock me to see Clones cover that.

Things are starting to feel a little different with the program. The last two games, we've played aggressive, tough football. We're starting to be the "tough guys" we need to be.
