ISU opens as 14 pt favorite vs TTU

What little I watched I noticed bowman there qb wasn't playing? He hurt again or was tech trying wierd things?

I could see the clones getting them 35-20.

Bye week next week, focus should be there. I can see why it's -14

The worst is Kstate is a 10 point underdog at TCU. Nobody is respecting their win against OU.

TxT's defense is just not good. Why? It's not for lack of athletes, it's discipline. They're a little like OU in that way allowing chunk plays because they're not assignment sound on the backside.

Their backup QB is a Utah State transfer. He can chuck it. To my eye and from TxT fan feedback, he's better than Bowman.

This game in Ames is ISU's to lose unless it turns into a free-for-all. And I can't see that happening with how well Cy defends the spread.

SP+ says we should win by 12 or 13. We're 10 spots better than them offensively (42nd vs 52nd), 66 spots better defensively (30th vs 96th) and 62 spots better on special teams (9th vs 71st). SP+ is 62% against the spread so far this year. Still a lot of preseason ratings reflected in these rankings though. Takes 4 games for preseason projections to be <50% of the calculation, and continues to go down each game until it is totally gone heading into the 8th game.
