Like I said, tell everyone above 55 to never leave their houses unless they want to get sick and die. Problem solved for everyone, right? Or is that telling them what do to how to live their lives?
I'm from the personal accountability side of things here. Anyone concerned about getting sick and dying must make their best personal decisions for THEIR health. I can't tell anyone how to be healthy beyond some platitude of eat fruits and veggies. You like issuing orders with arbitrary cut-offs. Not my style.
If you are at risk, YOU are at risk and you must look after your health and the health of your family. If you think masks are an infringement of your rights, I'm good with that. MY choice is to limit my outside exposure, and shop at places that have the consensus protocols in place, and wear my mask when appropriate. Walking in a park is not an appropriate place. Riding my mountain bike is not the appropriate place. Jogging is not the appropriate place.
My health and my family's health is my and my family's responsibility. I can shut everyone in, or I can let everyone free. Just so happens we're practicing all the guidelines because our family health is important to us.
