I always find it funny when people get all worked up over their teams coach leaving for bigger and better things, but then, if the opportunity presented itself, they would leave their current job for bigger and better things.

How many 6'5" QB's that weigh 250 can run a 4.59 and throw the ball 70 yards with a flick of the wrist??? C'mon, when healthy Cam is a better talent everyone but Mahomes and Lamar. However, he struggles with accuracy because he has never had to learn footwork with a howitzer coming out of his shoulder. When healthy, in a 1 game playoff game. He's probably 3rd in the division. But on 4th and goal from the goaline, with the game on the line. There isn't another QB i'd have

Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Leaf, JaMarcus Russell, Geno Smith, Tim Tebow... hugely talented athletes. Being a great athlete matters very little for an NFL quarterback.

Don't get me wrong, I like Cam. And I'm agreeing with you that he has the physical tools to be successful. But there's plenty of reasons why he's not killing it right now-- and maybe never will again. It's in part due to his OL, but also has plenty to do with his own shortcomings.

I've heard accuracy is important for an NFL QB

Not going back too far, but a quick look at PFF position rankings and 2015-18 had the Panthers OL graded as #2, 17, 10 and 17. According to PFF he's played with average to very good OLs the last few years. To his credit, with reduced attempts in 2018 he was much more accurate, but throughout his career he's been very inaccurate, and that's way more important than arm strength.

No doubt he can be an upgrade for some teams, but I wouldn't be expecting consistency from him.

Screw Baylor but I wouldn't get to carried away with the loyalty thing. Money and bigger things make everyone change their path. He is no different.
Still think CMC is different otherwise he would have left last year for the browns or jets but he stayed, that proved something to me. Wasn’t the same Rhule associated with talking to the colts 2 yrs ago? I think he’s like Fred always wanting to go coach pro teams.

Even Rhule knows that Baylor is a sleazy sh*t hole, and so he got out of there the first chance he could.

However, Rhule is also a piece of sh*t, so one would think him and Baylor would be a perfect lifetime match.

After Rhule tried to use Carolina to leverage even a bigger deal from the Giants, I wish Carolina had withdrawn their offer.... and left Rhule with no NFL job at all once the Giants moved on.

What a POS. You can tell he was lying on the very first question on whether any NFL team had contacted him before the bowl game.

I wonder how many high school recruits' living rooms he sat in and lied to this year about being at Baylor for the next 4 years?

Clearly not allowed to cheer this on in /r/CFB. Every ban I've ever had on reddit is related to Baylor and talking about them in a "negative" light.

The post was "Couldn't have happened to a better fanbase". Ridiculous.

Same here. Although I might have gotten one for a hok post once too, of course it was during one of our games that hok trolls were on, and I said something that someone cried about. But Baylor, yeah dont ever say anything negative about them, its like insta-ban.

This comment from their site is gold:

"What a phony. Good riddance. I loved the wins, but he's untrustworthy and has done serious damage to our program leaving like this."

Yes, that's what did/doing the damage.

And, if you scroll down the page further the post that simply says "Rehire Briles" has 14 likes.

Well honestly you couldn't be more off on the talent (Rodgers, Brees, Wilson, etc. all far superior to Cam at being talented in the things a QB needs to be talented in). Life long Panthers fan (don't ask how) and Cam had one great season and then bailed on his team in that Super Bowl loss to the Broncos down 6 with the game still very much within reach and didn't go after that fumble that he easily could have recovered to at least punt and give the defense one more chance to get the ball back. People get blinded by his fantasy numbers and rushing TDs, but his body is so beat up the rushing days are not happening again and had already been on the decline before this season. Cam is a terrible, and I mean terrible pocket passer. He makes some spectacular throws but when you need a simple 5-7 yard out for a first down to keep a drive alive, he cannot deliver it. His mechanics are terrible and he throws off of his back foot constantly. His leadership is also in question because he's great when things are great, but under adversity he cowers and whines.

He's delivered some great things to Carolina no doubt, and as a person he is a phenomenal ambassador for the team and in the Charlotte community. But his best days are behind him, and it's very obvious.
