2/22-24 Winter Weather Thread

Holy drifts! I'd hate to see what it's like in the country.
Rumor of a drift being on top of our local nursing home. Crazy.

What’s the drive like to Ames? Everything in the metro is travel not advised but my place is in an open area that I’d expect the wind to be bad but it looks normal out.

Went out and tried to shovel the snow layer off this morning. Mixed results. Next few days are going to be messy.

A special thank you to whoever at Ariens designed my snowblower: You are the ******* best. I couldn't actually see over the piles of snow at the end of my driveway from drifting and the plow coming through. It took care of them in relatively short order.

What can go wrong this afternoon having the office guy jump in one of the company loaders with a pusher box on it?

Our snow blower got most of the crud but there's about an inch of ice beneath everything. Said eff it and threw down a ton of salt and said I'll deal with it later. My dad text me up by the Charles City/New Hampton area and said they got 6 inches with 50mph winds. Poor guy has an outdoor wood burner he'll need to keep up with.
