So who else is watching sub pumps? Mine is running every 30 seconds in Monticello.
Eff me.
Mine is pumping into a ditch full of water. Hope it doesn't ice up.

Just time my pump at 1:26 between pumps.
Yep, I’m at 1:34
As long as the pump and backup battery system keep working, I should be good. Praise be to beer! I’m gonna go watch some TV, drink heavily, and check on the pumps in 15 minutes or so
White out conditions here in Ames. Can't imagine what they are like in the country. Wet heavy snow and the winds have picked up. Roads are horrible.
Is there a better way of doing this other than getting on the roof and shoveling it? I'm pretty sure I'll break my neck if I try thatWe’re up to 55 seconds! Take that deity who controls sub pumps!
I’m gonna clean the roof of snow/ice tomorrow

Who the **** is Howard? The Duck?
Too much beer...... and so I started to walk into the water. I won’t lie to you boys... I was terrified. But I pressed on! And as I made my way past the breakers, a strange calm came over me. I don’t know if it was devine intervention or the kinship of all living things, but I tell you CF at that moment, I was a marine biologist/sub pump engineer.
The sea was angry that day, my friends - like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli. I got about fifty feet out and suddenly, the great beast appeared before me. I tell you it was ten stories high if it was a foot. As if sensing my presence, it let out a great bellow. I said, "Easy, big fella!" And then, as I watched it struggling, I realized that something was obstructing its pumping. From where I was standing, I could see directly into the eye of the great F̶i̶s̶h̶ pump.
Well then, from out of nowhere, a huge tidal wave lifted me, tossed me like a cork, and I found myself right on top of it - face to face with the great sub pump. I could barely see from the waves crashing down upon me, but I knew something was there. So I reached my hand in... felt around ...and pulled out the obstruction.
It was not a Titleist.
