Prohm said in his press conference that it was on him that they didn't make any adjustments in the 2nd half. So not dumb at all.
Prohm is being a leader and not throwing his players under the bus. It’s stupid fans don’t understand that.
That's it? Under Self, KU is 256-14 at home. It's good to know those 256 wins were just because the other team wasn't consistent enough.
Lawson is good - brilliant statement by me.
He has not proven to be a capable three point shooter. If he can hit those, like he did last night, I think he will be a rich man. We obviously did not have an answer for him last night, and not sure what we should have done. His 15 rebounds tell you he came to play. In Ames we were able to successfully double him. I think he would go around or shoot over a healthy Solo. Solo might have kept him off the boards better. Jake plays real hard - just a little overmatched, and Lard, at the moment cannot guard me without fouling. Lawson was great last night. Easy to argue he beat us. That said, it seems more like our inability to keep them from getting to the basket hurt us more - imo.
Guards have not done a great job of stopping penetration all season. When Jacobson as our only big that leads to scores way too easily.
Jacobson got manhandled by Lawson. But anyone else likely would have too. Still would have been worth to give Condit a shot tho. Couldn’t have been much worse.

Tough loss- losing by 4 in Phog with Wigginton and Lard scoring only 3 Pts. Still confident they’ll get it together.

Agree with this completely. Lawson was going to get his and I though we forced him to take a couple tough shots (and too many easy ones.) The problem is we let others go off too. Our defense was putrid in stopping the drives to the basket. Compliment ku on a great game play and exposing our weaknesses, we’ve got to get better at stopping drives to the basket with no rim protector.

main takeaway from rewatching part of the game was ISU's switching and on ball defense was bad. KU was able to drive the ball pretty much at will. No wonder Prohm switched to zone at times.
ISU's shot difficulty was much higher throughout the game with the pass around the parameter offense. Although shooting 40% on contested 3s is pretty good.

Just to make sure I'm doing our postgame right, this is where I say something like "AS LONG AS ONE ISN'T LW" or something, right?
How can he lose so much in one season? Is something going on we don't know about?
Obviously because this is the first time a returning player hasn't been as effective in his second season in college basketball and it's the first time ISU winning the Big 12 title might be in peril.
Injury that kept him out for a while, combined with a big influx of talent. He's searching for his role, while trying to get in the groove. Honestly, I'm not all that concerned about it. He is a talented kid. I'd be surprised if we're still talking about this 5 games from now.
