ISU Opens at -14.5 at KU

Kind of surprised it is that low, but CMC is not one to run up the score either. I am hoping for something like a 21 point win so some reserves can play.

Hopefully between us having plenty of mistakes to realize we have things to work on and KU beating TCU to make sure our team gets the 'dont sleep on them' message, we show up ready to take care of business and shut them the **** down.

Yea this one won’t be close. I do think ku does have a good shot against KSU to pick up another conference win though.

Sounds like at least a large minority want KU to lose out to make sure Beaty gets fired!

Yeah, sounds like some of them were disappointed in the win over TCU because now they’re worried it will buy him more time.

I don’t think i could ever put myself in that mindset as a fan.

I'm more worried about that with Baylor in two weeks.

agreed. nothing scary at all about Kansas. Don't care if they beat TCU or not. Kansas is just plain terrible.

Baylor on the other hand...I could see us slipping up there. Hope not, but Baylor isn't terrible (despite what happened agains WVU). they will also be fighting for bowl eligibility when they play ISU

We play Baylor at home. It will most likely be cold. They’ll be an uncomfortable Texas team with nothing to play for.

Brock has never played in cold wet conditions. He’s from Arizona. If Kansas is able to focus on shutting down Montgomery and rough up Brock a little bit, it could be a long day.

All the markings of a trap game unless Coach gets the team's attention...especially on special teams. These are the games that make me the nervous fan I am.

There is a chance KU may have a "hangover" after their win against TCU, but yes, this is the definition of a trap game.

Not really. A trap game is typically when you have an opponent you SHOULD beat right after a big emotional win and right before a big game that would cause them to overlook the “easy win”. If we played Texas after Kansas, I’d totally agree.

KU is better than a year ago, a game in which we punted 9 times, with several 3 or 4 and outs. 2.5 ypc in our run game with 3 sacks and 9 TFL given up. We’ve got numerous games now to know it wasn’t the weather that led to such restrictive play-calling. That’s not ball-control, that’s trying to limit mistakes so much that you’re bad on offense.

Our defense and special teams were great though.
