ISU Opens at -14.5 at KU

David Beaty has not exactly set up the next HC for success. He has loaded up on JUCO players (23 total in the 2017 & 2018 classes).
They have 24 seniors, presumably most are scholarship guys. If they have many transfers they’ll be below the scholarship count, which shouldn’t happen.

It’s really too bad they lost to Nichols St. At 4-4 with KSU left they may actually have given Beaty an extension.

KU is actually decently “better” than Akron in the latest Sargin ratings.

Someone should get a mini van full of Iowa State fans and go to the game, that way there will be more Iowa State Fans in the stands than Kansas fans.

To be honest, I think there will be more Cyclone fans than KU fans for this game. That's how it was by half-time two years ago.

Beatty was supposed to be a good recruiter but he just hasn't been able to do so. Even he stays for another year, he's a toast either way. He's got 1 commit for 2019. ONE.

When they let him go who takes that job? Years ago I used to think ISU HC position was a career killer but this is even worse. What Div 1 coordinator takes that leap or do you just look at Kansas high school coaches?

Do KU fans still think Harbaugh has interest?
That was a good one.

I think they are hoping for Les Miles this time. They've had good share of really good choices but end up making terrible choices last few coaches. Hope they can make it right this time so they can stick it to southern boys in Texas.

If KU is to revive itself, it probably needs to go the Snyder/Juco route.

This post is pretty funny/sarcastic too:

"Actually the QB beat OSU in Stillwater. He has changed their offense over night. Thrown for 822 yards in 3 games with 9 TD's and 2 INT's. 65% completion rate and that is with several drops in the TT game. Ran for 168 yards. Reminds me a LOT of Riesing. Throws dimes. He doesn't get rattled. The rocking environment at Memorial Stadium won't affect him :) In addition to beating OSU, he beat West Virginia and Texas Tech."

Correct, I've had several KU fans down here bring up Les Miles. It cracks me up.
