ISU Opens at -14.5 at KU

Hopefully between us having plenty of mistakes to realize we have things to work on and KU beating TCU to make sure our team gets the 'dont sleep on them' message, we show up ready to take care of business and shut them the **** down.
Couldn't agree more

We play Baylor at home. It will most likely be cold. They’ll be an uncomfortable Texas team with nothing to play for.

Brock has never played in cold wet conditions. He’s from Arizona. If Kansas is able to focus on shutting down Montgomery and rough up Brock a little bit, it could be a long day.

He has adapted by now to our current weather IMO. Practices outside all fall and the West V game have helped. Now if he played for Arizona going to play in the Midwest at this time ya I could see it. Weather looks about the same this Saturday in the 50's. If we were looking at the KU game at Jack Trice in 2013 when it was below zero I would agree with your statement. Colder games to come though.

Seneca Wallace struggled in the cold.

[edit]: Just checked the forecast. 54 & mostly cloudy. I think Brock can handle that. Last I heard it was low 40s, windy & wet.

I would say the biggest problem with playing at Kansas, is that our players are not used to an environment like Kansas' home field advantage:

Wait, what am I missing? Didn't we beat Kansas 45-0 last year? Did you mean BU?
Nope -- he means Kansas.

"The offense struggled for most of the game against KU. At the time many played it off as due to the rain, but we now know it was indicative of how unproductive our offense would be once defensive coordinators had tape on our offense without Park."
"The defense and ST didn’t struggle, but the offense was bad for the first 50 minutes. Again, at the time it was written off as due to a conservative game plan with the rain, but it ended up being very indicative of the fact the offense from the first half of the season would not return."

I honestly don't think KU has an answer for Butler. We could probably chuck it 30+ yards to him the whole game with a decent success rate.

That game was a freaking mud bath. Iowa State didn't even attempt to throw the ball, so JUST was in a 9 man front the whole game. As I recall Zeb got in late in the game and lit up the KU defense through the air.

We attempted more passes than we did against OU the week before, or Tech on Saturday. Kempt had 20 attempts in just 3 quarters and up a lot.

KU's problem is going to be the fact that their strength is running the ball. They're going to have to get out of their comfort zone, because we simply haven't been allowing teams to run effectively.

Gonna be a little bit tougher with Enyi out now... he was a big part of stuffing runs.

Still stopped TT. Also, KU is not the '97 Cornhuskers either. I think they average around 145 yards rushing and a little under 200 passing.

I know, I said "a little bit tougher." Can't deny he was a great run defender.

I'm pretty sure our DL depth is great though and next man up will be fine.
