The best samich I ever invented during my days in Ames was a grilled peanut butter and cheese. After coming home from the Cave Inn one night, I was trying to decide if I wanted peanut butter on toast or grilled cheese. I compromised.

Has anyone else tried a grilled peanut butter sandwich or a grilled PBJ? Just make a regular sandwich, butter it and grill it up. It's really warm and gooey. Just make sure to get the PB and J toward the middle of the bread so it doesn't come out the sides.

If you have to douse something with sauce, it isn't good food.
We were grilling with some neighbors at one point and had some really good New York strips. Neighbor excused himself to go grab A-1 before he sat down and doused his steak in it. We now stick to brats and burgers with them instead of good steaks.
I don't dip mine, but I have spread grape jelly on them since I was a kid. It's ******* delicious but I can't convince hardly anyone else to try it that way.How about Jelly-
I know it sounds weird, but Jelly clearly goes well with toast.
And Cheese and wine/grapes pair well.....
