Friday OT #1 - Bit Parts

What movie is that?? I need to watch it! Wasn't that Scarlett Johanssen?
Yeah, it is. The movie is Ghost World which is based on a comic book of the same name. Steve Buscemi is in it too.

I also have to give a nod to John Ratzenberger (best known as Cliff Claven in Cheers) who has lent his voice to ever single Pixar feature. He was The Underminer in The Incredibles, the Abominable Snowman in Monsters, Inc. in addition to larger supporting roles in series like Toy Story (Hamm) and Cars (Mack).

I always thought one of the funniest was Patrick Duffy (Dad from Step by Step) on Family Guy. classic. I'd link it but restricted videos are banned at my work :(
It's funny what different aged people remember actors for. I never would have thought of that role first. I always think of Duffy as the Man from Atlantis or Bobby Ewing on Dallas.

Totally agree. Actually happy to hear he had a career outside of being type casted.

How I Met Your Mother is a prime example of how it can go good and bad. Jason, Colby, Allison all can go on to other things mainly because they did other things during the show, but Ted, he's done.

My 3 year old LOVES Cars, and calls all tractor-trailers "Macks" (except for cabovers, those are "Peterbilts for dang sakes"). It's special to me because he's named after my grandfather, who drove Mack trucks as an owner-operator.

Wow a ton of great ones already posted. Ned Ryerson was the first one I thought of.

I'd add two from Harold and Kumar go to White Castle.

Christopher Meloni as Freakshow. and NPH as well NPH.

Add in the "Extreme guys" every time I see a product with word extreme I think of those guys.

Fred Willard's character in "Best in Show."

"That looks like a fast dog. Is that faster than a greyhound? If you put ‘em in a race, who would finish first, if you put a little jockey on ‘em?”

Denis Leary and James Earl Jones in the Sand Lot.

A friend and I used to joke around about Leary's character cracking out a cigarette and going on a tangent when he found out about the baseball.

And James Earl Jones just knows how to kill it in baseball movies.
