I'd eat scallops everyday if I could
I have never had a scallop. Do you just pan fry them really quick in some butter and junk?

Basically, yeah. You want to get the outside a little brown and crusty in a hot pan, but don't overcook them or they get rubbery. Sea scallops are big - 1 1/2" to 2" in diameter - and can be cooked and eaten as the main dish with just a little salt. Bay scallops are usually only about 1/2" in diameter and are usually mixed into a sauce, where they essentially get poached.
Great. Where the hell am I supposed to get scallops in Cedar Rapids at 10:00 at night??

I literally feel a pain in my heart for people that are allergic to shellfish. All seafood is god's work, IMO.
I get what you are saying, it is more rewarding, but no wild game is better than domestic, if it was, it would be domestic.Elk is better than beef. Especially when you shoot it, gut it and haul the meat down the mountain in your pack.
im surprised by all the pork love in this thread. My family was involved very heavy in ippa and it was surprising how many grillings we would do where people hadnt had pork in America. In the 90's and 2000's pork tried to be chicken and cut out all the fat (the good part) they were selling pigs at 240 w/ paylean sucking up fat. Pork sucks without fat. marble it like beef and it's gold.
