So I had a vasectomy yesterday

And I've had zero pain. No Tylenol, no ice, no swelling, nothing. No need for it as I feel completely normal.

Anyone else had it this easy? Am I a robot?

I resumed running 2 days after. I really was not as bad as everyone said it would be.

We went for the tying of the tubes during my wife's c-section. Took two extra minutes and no one has to cut my boys.

Really debating on the 'no scalpel' vs 'scalpel' issue. The only guy in my area that did the no scalpel has stopped doing vasectomy's. Do I drive 2 hrs to Ankeny and have this Kellerman do it (no scalpel) or is it really that big of difference?

Drive the two hours. Mine was a lot more painful than advertised. It was supposed to be no scalpel, but the right boy wasn't cooperating and he had to scalpel in to get access. I was in pain for three days and uncomfortable a couple of months.

Either way, you still have to cut to get in there, no scalpel just means scissors.

It's times like this that I'm happy we had my one li'l guy, and have not been able to reproduce again. We have never tried to prevent, just hasn't worked except for that one time. We really wanted a second, but I guess that wasn't the plan. Of course now that I'm 46 it might happen, but I'm guessing you need to have sex for it to happen. Now that I think about it, I traveled a lot when she got pregnant the one time. WTF? j/k, sorta...

A buddy of mine in HS was 15 years younger than his older brother. He was the "cannot medically have children anymore" child.

Mine was a piece of cake. I would say similar to getting a dental filling. Not really painful, just slightly annoying.

I hope she's at least hot.

Had mine done years ago. Typical day or two discomfort. When doc told me I needed to bring a sample in for testing, I asked if it was okay that some of my wife's saliva was mixed in...

I'm here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitress.
