Another pet peeve of mine. Openly hating on a city or what not. You can pretty much find bad things about everywhere.

Cedar Rapids smells like burnt cereal! And those traffic cameras! And, and those Hawk fans!

Just wanted to get things started.

Here you go:

"Read" the book. Find the movie. It may change your life.
It sounds pretty interesting.
I was about to try to find the movie online and watch this afternoon when I saw that it had Bo Duke in it and the Writer/Filmmaker looked like Fabio but, alas, it was the wrong John Schneider.

I still may give the book a whirl when I'm done with my current spy novel, and watch the movie, if I can, when we finish The Making of a Murderer.

And that's what the other serial killer would say. So it isn't me.
Well, that, and I confessed to being one. But you seemed really quick to say you aren't one, so you're probably one too. JC, I think what this shows is everyone who lives in Wisconsin is a serial killer. You can't trust any of us.

Yeah, I really want to read that book now

You forgot the 70+ juveniles that had a massive brawl which shut down the St. Jude's Sweet Corn Festival last weekend. (I'm not feeling the civil pride right now).

It's all pictures, so it's sort of an easy read.

On another note, the publisher for one of my favorite New Testament commentaries just released a statement saying that they are no longer printing books by a certain author. Apparently, there were complaints of plagiarism recently, and they found that he plagiarized 3 of his books.

They're offering refunds, which is nice. He issued the classic public apology that says it was all an accident (3 times!). Smooth.

That reminds me of a news story when I was in high school. Did anyone else watch Channel One news for ~10 minutes in the morning? I remember young versions of Anderson Cooper and Lisa Ling being hosts. Anyway, one morning there was a brief news story about a young woman who "accidentally stabbed her child 14 times". We thought it was funny and it's stuck with me.
