Yes.....Father's Day. A day where my wife and kids plan big things that require me to work for most of it so the "whole" family can have fun. I usually need Monday to recoup and finish everything I'm expected to do on Father's Day.

I usually forget all about Fathers Day except for the shopping part. Since I am not a father I mean shopping myself for me. It is a great time to buy stuff for yourself cause guy stuff everywhere is on sale.
Had a laugh at my sister's expense yesterday. She was going to book rooms in Manchester for her kids and grandkids. She always stays at our old house. I've checked into the hotels there when it's too hot for me in that old house. She was asking about swimming pools.
Ah, your choices are the American Inn (formerly a Super 8) and a Day's Inn.
There ain't no pools for the grandkiddies.
And random observation: All cheap hotels (talking Super 8, Microtel level stuff) in Iowa are managed by families of Indian or Pakistani origin. Or so it seems based on my stays in Ames, Des Moines and Manchester.

Mostly young people play volleyball, they have it twice a day. Burned 600 calories playing yesterday. Only 260 so fa4 today. Saw a guy wearing an isu hat yesterday but we were walking away. Now there's a guy at lunch with a cyclo e alley shirt on, different person! It seems a bit empty here now so it's neat to have all the isu people....have to non creepily talk to them

Might just be me but when on vacation I am not terribly concerned with how many calories I am burning. Then again there is no doubt that CG is healthier than me.
Confidence in my laptop rebuild is growing. CPU is no longer running all of the time for no reason.
Going for a short bike ride. Bike will probably break down like my phone, laptop and air conditioner. High probability my new car will crap out on drive to Iowa tomorrow. It's just been that kind of week.
