Does anyone remember which poster has the Team Stray Cat avatar? It's a black and pink cat. I am just curious if he was on the same ride I was this last weekend since I saw a bunch of their team.

Ride would have been right up Buster Poindexter's alley; HOT, HOT, HOT!

I was hot enough sitting out at the baseball field for 6 hours Saturday afternoon. I can't even imagine how hot it was on a long bike ride.

AC Service not until Wednesday. That's actually a little sooner than I expected with the recent heat blast we have been in.

Make a swamp cooler. 9x13 baking pan full of ice on the table in front of a table fan. Ice melts/evaporates and fan blows the cooled air into the room. Ex & I lived in a 10x50 trailer for about 18 months back in Pullman. Very similar climate to here (a little less humid though).

Just the idea that it's under consideration is enough to **** me off this morning. :(

Agreed.

Hope this doesn't come across as cavey. This vote can do nothing positive for Baylor. With the reaction to the Stanford swimmer case and how viral the reaction was, it b is extremely tone deaf of them to even entertain the idea of retaining Briles.

Having the vote just clearly shows their priorities are greater for money than they are on the safety and education of their student body, especially with regard to their female students.

Between the Stanford case, Baylor, and the Orlando shooting, this isn't really a world I want to be in right now

Went on a short ride Friday night to take a friend to see the High Trestle at night. Then on a 30-35 mile ride in wind and hills on Saturday. Drank way too much, danced and pretty much passed out in my tent.

I lived for years without central air, or any air for that matter, so I think I can survive a few days. Of course I've got over 130,000 Marriott points

I saw that in a texas paper too. The reason I'm skeptical is why have a vote then? That is the worst possible decision. As Sara said, it looks terrible and it won't make the donors who are threatening to pull their support happy. If you want to
Baylor is Baylor is Baylor. I don't mean this in the funny basketball way, they have shown they make historically bad decisions on trying to cover things up.

Left my windows open at work. Brief storm came up while we were at a job. Got back and car was completely dry. Not sure if it had all evaporated by the time we got back, or it never rained where my car was.

Agree.

I should add I've been in Washington state in the summer. The eastern half of the state is a freaking desert.

Yup. Pullman is in the Palouse hills, so creeping toward the mountains of Idaho. But yeah, high desert. Which is funny, because most people think of the coastal region (greater Everett-Seattle-Olympia corridor), literally everything WEST of the Cascades as being what all of Washington is like. You know - rains every day, never gets hot in the summer, never gets very cold in the winter. :)

I was flying out to Seattle from years ago, and my seatmate had the window side. First trip west. She got terribly excited when she saw the "crop circles" in central Washington (just east of the Columbia river region). I had to explain the irrigation system to her. I think she was actually disappointed that they weren't alien. ;)

Had to go to Walla Walla for work a few years ago. It was NOT Seattle.
