Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

Reading that Game of Thrones thread, I have no clue about half of what I read. How do people remember all those names?
I have to assume those that do have read the books.

Well, it was SUPPOSED to be about the tv series without book spoilers, but that hasn't stopped anyone. There's simply no way to talk about the current episodes on a thread like we've managed with TWD. I've elected to stay entirely out of it, and I think the OP (Boxster) has as well. Kinda sucks when you're driven out of your own thread. Funny thing is, there IS a thread that is focused on the books. It's pretty dead. They'd rather come to the tv series thread and discuss everything from the books that points toward everything that WILL happen (they believe). It would be nice to just...be...surprised - and talk about that surprise AFTER THE FACT.

I usually stay out of that thread for that reason. I just happen to be all caught up for once and just wanted to get a feel for what other people felt about the last episode. Personally I think the scope of the show has gotten too big for 10 episodes a season. You just have to fill in an awful lot of blanks because each story just seems to jump ahead without any really understanding of how or why.

I don't think they'll be sued over it; it's just a nightmare in general. And it'll be a legal nightmare if you bring Briles back and any of his recruits sexually assault someone else.

BOR is going to vote on a one-year suspension for Briles. I thought he was already fired, but I guess not.

But for them to even ENTERTAIN a vote is a bad look. Yeah, Briles won games...but for what price?
