The new girl in our office finally decided to personalize her cubicle after a couple weeks. She hung a decorative mirror in it.

It's more oval than this, but similar:

Please tell me I'm not the only one that thinks that is really weird.

Does it look like this one?

local newspaper thing from back home posted on fb that something is celebrating:

"it's 100th year"

fail.

For a horror movie involving mirrors, I really liked The Broken. Stars Lena Headey and Richard Jenkins. Kind of slow and not super scary, but a nice buildup of suspense and great cinematography.

One of the very first scary movies I ever watched involved mirrors.

It was a freaking DISNEY movie and it scared the ever living crap out of me. Good movie though.

So what's the scariest movie to you? Not necessarily best, but what creeped you out the most? I say that because I feel when it comes to the horror genre, what's scary and what's really well made can be two different things.

Ask the mirror some questions. It might be a magic mirror.

Well, off to pretend I fit in with a bunch of people at a country club for a reception with President Leath.

They will sense that while I can look and act the part some , I am not really one of "them" of the country club set.

That is a hard question. I think it's hard to compare them since they might be scary for different reasons and different genres within the horror genre:

1. Slasher
2. Action-horror
3. Suspenseful
4. Jumpy
5. Creepy
6. Gross
7. Fantasy-Horror
8. Sci-fi horror
9. Found footage/fake documentary
10. Monster
11. Foreign
12. Weird

I could probably come up with my favorites for each category?

Sure. I think, personal preference, for me half of those, while I may find entertaining, I don't know if I could come up with any that were scary/creepy/spooky whatever. Like, there are some slasher films I enjoyed, but can't think of any that scared me.

Maybe we should start a thread about it. You, me and KC are probably the only people in the RTT interested in that.

Well, that's 2 more people than are interested in your manscaping stories, so you're making progress.

Special mom moments:
Sitting still the whole time to trim bangs and hair. I I used a cape to cover her clothes and she let me know that she was done by saying, "Done with my cape now" Then she waited while I finished really quick. then started to fidget.

You can pretty much leave the "trendy" slasher ones out for me. Have not seen any of the Nightmare on Elm St, Halloween, Hills Have Eyes, Wrong Turn, Scream, Hostel, Friday the 13th, yaddayadda. Watched the first Saw because I like Cary Elwes, but none of the sequels.

Son of a ***** is in it for the money, not the science.
