yeah I don't have a watch right now so I find that appealing as well. Do you use the sleep part at all? Or sync it with anything like MFP or your phone?

got my volleyball tickets purchased!
I don't use the sleep component because I don't like having it on my wrist when I sleep and I don't feel like it'll help me that much. It'll let me know if I'm consistently getting less sleep than I want, but in general I don't know what I'd do with the info. I sync mine with my iPhone and I've helped my aunt sync her's with a computer so I know both work. The only problem I have with it is sometimes I feel like I need to turn my bluetooth off and then back on on my phone to get it to sync. But that's the only downside I've had.

And I'm thinking about getting tickets. I need to see how I do on studying and I still want to ask CLSG if she wants to go. How much were tickets and were they assigned seats or general admission?

they had a thing to cut out and size your wrist. Looks like the small would have plenty of room. But that's a good idea to stop and try them. I have to run to Target tonight...wonder if they have them there. Could try them out quick.
Target has them. The oldest daughter and wife have the Charge. The son has the Charge HR. We kept getting him the regular Charge and he kept stretching the holes that hold the watch band in place (luckily he always broke these before the end of the return period). If you're worried the band may not hold and/or you want the heart rate monitor go for the Charge HR. (disclaimer: the son does play football in the backyard for about 2 hours almost everyday)

Sorta interesting Thanksgiving note: My sister put a clip-on fitbit on my mom (she tends to be a bit lazy) when we ate dinner at about 3. We checked it after about 3 hours and she had 26 steps. She said it can't be correct because she got up and went to the bathroom. So if you're interested in how many steps it is from my parents dining table, to the bathroom and then to the living room chair it is 26 steps.

I echo this. I shave my head with a beard trimmer, honestly. If you get a decent one, it should last a long time.
I spend 10 bucks a year on the cheapo clippers at walmart and have no complaints. Then again my blades I used for my face get retired to my head after awhile so I guess overall I spend a little more than 10 a year for upkeep but not alot.

That's the one with the auto maintenance place right? If you don't want to jump right into the LS swap, might I suggest dropping a Hyabusa engine in a Smart Fortwo:

Yes it is, although I found out the auto maintenance station only consists of a hose to spray your car off and a vacuum, which is better than nothing. Don't think I'll be doing an LS swap any time soon.

and what do you guys know about beard trimmers? DH said that for Christmas but I know nothing.

I asked for one, too. I have a water-proof all body shaver but don't have very many good attachments for it. If you ever buy one of these, don't go cheap because you'll hit the high note if it tugs on your hair in places other than your face.

I tell you what, there's a lot of football related things we'll have to see with Coach Campbell, but the guy definitely knows how to present himself and have all the right answers at a press conference.

A co-worker just stopped by my office and gave me her tickets for the game tomorrow night. So now I have two tickets for Sec 237, row 9, and one ticket for sec 239, row 9.

Any takers? PM me.

My school is so stupid. We have finals before winter break then after break we have 4 days of school before 2nd semester starts. WTF is the point of those 4 days....

I don't mean this to sound like an ******* thing, because I'm sure it will right now all things considered, but today is an absolutely perfect day. No clouds, sunny, just a slight breeze and only around 75 degrees. It's as perfect as I could ask for.

But I have to work.

Today's riddle for seniors...

Here is the situation:

You are on a horse, galloping at a constant speed.
On your right side is a sharp drop-off.
On your left side is an elephant traveling at the same speed as you.
Directly in front of you is a galloping kangaroo and your horse is unable to overtake it.
Behind you is a lion running at the same speed as you and the kangaroo.
What must you do to get out of this highly dangerous situation?
Think logically before scroll down for the answer.

Quietly get off the merry-go-round and go home!

Woo, you write a lot of papers, right? What's your secret to knocking them out?
I don't really know. I guess you just get used to them. But some somewhat practical advice: Breaks are good, so set a goal and then each time you meet it (every page, every section, whatever) take a break. I also don't worry about niceties like citations when I'm first writing but just do the bare minimum. How long do you have to do it?

I procrastinated way too much (and didn't pay attention to the expected length of the assignment) and I have until tomorrow night to finish this one, which is supposed to be 15 pages. I'm on page 6. Then I have another 5-8 page paper due Friday morning with a 15 minute presentation.

Guess it's time to get back to work...
