It is possible. Jamie Pollard said they shook hands without even discussing money. That there was an element of TRUST between them that Campbell knew we would give him a fair offer.
Perhaps you have little knowledge of the word TRUST. People with high character can generally be TRUSTED. And maybe that is why you really do not understand.
No one thought this. Suggesting JW would be one of those and then justifying it with Thompson, Taylor, Bruns, and Sage. JFC.

I predict that MC will sell out the stadium in due time................when Matt said he loved to recruit his face lit up...this is one coach who is going to be a big upgrade in recruiting.
When Matt said Coach Lou, I knew right then that Lou Ayeni was on the staff............
CMC is very impressive both in the press conference and what I have read about him in his time at Toledo. I really believe this is a coach that can be here long term and really enjoy the ISU experience, while at the same time taking this program somewhere it hasn't been before.
Also secretly hoping Rocketac is actually CMC. Just wanting to interact with the fans incognito, especially after that RP comment.

Our lead sports reporter for the state's largest paper. He is both an idiotic and lazy reporter and most likely a Hawkeye fan (he is certainly not a Cyclone fan). I have been cutting him some slack lately because he didn't support a stupid one-sided, sources with an ax to grind column from another local reporter.
In the end, Fred Hoiberg just seemed to be shaking his head at his stupid questions in amazement.

Not disagreeing with you , but why does everyone always use that phrase at anytime or anywhere? Could care less whether he wins the press conference, I just want him to win GAMES! Having said that, have you ever seen a press conference and said "that guy won't cut it" and then it came true?
Actually, yeah. Chizik's press conference didn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
I always thought that McD gave off the vibe he was in over his head with every public statement he ever gave while at ISU.

i thought Matt was polished like chizik. The key difference is I think Matt knows what he is getting into.
I liked the press conference a lot. He thinks he can do the job, that's half the battle
Agree...and I think Rhoads definitely had a feeling of hope and "hard hat" that was needed as the Chiz left in such a quick way.
My initial impressions of Matt Cambell are that he is very measured/smart, honest and genuine, and knows football...great qualities....and seems to be a players coach in an uplifting manner.
