Press conference

God damn. Levi is the man. He and Coach Campbell have the same personality.

I'm always a little taken back by how soft-spoken Levi Peters is considering the beard and the hard hits. But what a great ambassador for the school and program.

Ha, Levi admitted Coach Campbell called him last night. I think we all knew that, anyway.

That was a fan according to tweets.

and if it was a fan that made it into the press conference, it was likely s big booster. Goes to show boosters aren't the ones that should be calling the shots in the ad.

If you are skeptical of the hire, watch his press conference.

Who knows if he works out but it won't be for a lack of effort Work ethic, The Process, and recruiting all mentioned several times.

I'm definitely excited.

$2M is a very fair salary. He said in a recent interview that he didn't even know how much he makes - although I'm sure his agent does

Fair, so 8 of other coaches in the Big 12 are unfair? When Miss paya more than 2 million it is unfair? But my question was about this, Does a person take a job not knowing what the salary? Because if I believe that lie I must be dumb or if true, Campbell is.

The guy sold me and I was on the "meh" train. Just based off that makes me think he will be a great recruiter. Maybe one of the best public speakers we have had at ISU.

I thought that was hard to watch. You know Levi is excited about the possibility with Campbell, but is still pretty broken up about Rhoads (I know he was very close to Rhoads). It's like his mind or body didn't know what emotion he was supposed to be feeling.

I think Rhoads had the first and third and lacked severely on the second. Speaking as an old guy, I am very encouraged to see the infusion of youth into The Process. We also need to make the most of the available assistant slots we have. Feel like we have a chance to do this now that we aren't reserving a couple of slots for relatives of older coaches.

I still remain cautiously optimistic. Paul Rhoads sold me on his press conference in December of 2009. There are definitely positives about Cambell, but also a few concerns too. Excited for the start of 2016 season.

And yet I posted the other day asking if Pollard would seek input from JW and people laughed at me. It isn't u heard of.
Good lord, and just like your Thompson comparison, you fail. Comparing Bruns or Sage to JW is nearly as bad as comparing JW to Thompson. Bruns was a (recent) Cyclone AA. Both are well respected football guys and could get into coaching if so desired. JW is a local sports guy turned play-by-play guy.

If Campbell can't turn this ship around...hands are thrown up..cause I can't think of anyone outside of Saban or Urban Meyer who could. i would say this staff will recruit Ohio heavily as well. It's a 7-9 hour drive to Ames so recruits and families aren't that far away.
