My beard has been full of gray for like 10 years already. They never ask me. When I shave both my goatee and mustache then they ask me like all the time.
I don't care much either way.
They card everybody at beer stores here but not at bars unless you look like you are in HS. When buying the Kona yesterday I had to not only show ID I had to take it out and hand it to her. Oh, no, might have been an identity theft thingy!
My hair color is pitch black, so those grays stand out like crazy. Wearing some hairgel helps, but not on my beard and I refuse to color it.
I drove 700 miles today (well, yesterday by now) and Nebraska drivers are by far the worst. Slow drivers don't move over into truck lanes on two lane roads going up hills. Had to pass them all on the right. Some doucher kid then floored it like he wanted to race, then slowed down in front of me again. Everyone else drives 5-10 mph under the speed limit. #NUsux
I heard an advertisement for "**** Liquor Store" in Oklahoma. #PunIntended
If there are lines at the gas pumps, there's not likely to be parking elsewhere at the gas station. Unless it's a truck stop or something. At 99.3% of gas stations I've been at, staying parked at the pump for 5 minutes while going inside to use the restroom or buy something doesn't cause someone else an unnecessary wait. I would add that if there was someone waiting behind me and I finished fueling and there was another open parking spot, I would move for them. #IowaNice

My sleep schedule is messed up. Most nights I'm always till 1 am then I only get 4-5 hours, got to work come home nap and then repeat that.
edit. i usually spend my days off sleeping half the day.

Hey, I second this.
Got the in-laws coming late afternoon, wasn't going to do a big thing...just roast a turkey, but now I'm brining a turkey, thinking about throwing together a green bean casserole, and doing some prep work now, and I'll pretty much have a whole feast minus the pumpkin pie.
Orrr, not...no stuffing, no fried onions for GBC...so really just turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce...
wait, I'ma see if Hy-five is open...really inna mood for GBC.

Are you looking at both Post Doc options and full time options?
I will agree that Nebraska drivers are terrible. They'll drive under the speed limit on highways, and then fly through red lights.
Be careful today, supposed to get an ice storm this afternoon.
Yeah, it's gonna be interesting this afternoon taking my dog out to the dog park. I'm sure der hund will turn into a sled dog and start pulling me around the parking lot on a glaze of ice.
I'm already not looking forward to her morning potty trip out in this cold rain. I have winter gear at my house from working in North Dakota last winter, but all I brought was a jacket. :facepalm:
