Sorry I asked.I prefer not to spend my own money to go watch a bunch of wankers in a tiny *** sweaty gym with practically no air conditioning.
Lahaina is nice though. Probably the only part of Maui I don't hate.

Well, that was really the main place we were, but we liked it. Tourist friendly without being a phony creation just for tourists.
I'm probably biasedly bitter toward Maui. It's the island that gave me the most problems for work last year, and it looks like it's shaping up to be the same this year.
I'd go in a heartbeat if ISU were playing though. Probably just plan a business trip that same time so the company foots the plane ticket and car rental.
I do this all the time.
I hate when people dont pull through and stop at the first pump.
Everyone is always shocked when I say Maui is my least favorite island because it's usually everyone else's. To me, it just feels like Kauai, without all the waterfalls and lush greenery.
This is the definite pet peeve...especially if you're dealing with people with larger vehicles that lack parking skills.
Yeah, I don't have anything to compare it to, but I was expecting gridlock and phony tourist stuff, so was pleasantly surprised.
Gridlock is almost exclusively Oahu. Although Kahului in Maui can get bad at times.
I think deep down most Americans like Maui the most because it's tropical enough, but is also the whitest of all of the islands. And I don't mean that as in people are racist. Just that it feels tropical, but kind of feels like home too. It helps that I think over half of the population there is mainland transplants.
Heh...prolly true, like iowa boys who rate a place based on whether they have Busch Light.
A small part of me dies inside every time I'm buying beer and they look at me, then click the "no ID verification needed" button.
