Posting this so when he commits to Kentucky I can go back and say I told you so.

Just reading between the lines of Kentucky and Kansas recent looks at big man recruits, it certainly favors St. John's or Iowa State. My gut feeling is St. John's has a legitimate shot at this point. Pure GUT FEELING though. It really is a crap shoot! Like that of the coveted Rashad Vaughn, indicators as to where Diallo is going is being kept really close to the vest.

IMO Diallo is keeping it much closer to the vest. Seemed everyone had a pretty good idea RV was going to UNLV. No one has a real good idea where CD is going. I didn't watch RV announcement cause it was a goregone conclusion. If it is televised I will probably watch CD announcement even though I feel ISU has little chance. Seems like he may go anywhere, which makes it more interesting.

You know back in my day after heart surgery people used to use the tweeter even more and of course they did this while walking up hill both ways for four miles :).

Take it for what is worth, but Kentucky and Kansas started to recrut a NC post in the past couple of days... Could be the fall back for the other if CD chooses one or both. It does imply to me that neither are 100% confident where Diallo is going as of today.

JayhawkSlant @JayhawkSlant Norm Roberts is making the trip to Victory Christian HS in Charloette, N.C., today to get a look at 2015 big man Ebuka Izundu. #Kubball
Kansas getting very involved.

T.J. Walker @TWalkerRivals · 41m 41 minutes ago Kentucky is also showing some interest in Ebuka Izundu, a 3-star that has heard from UK, Kansas and UConn as of late.

Not encouraging.

There's not anyone anywhere who actually thinks we land him, right.
I don't know what you're talking about. Kentucky just announced all seven players are coming back and Kansas announced the Morris twins each found another year of eligibility.

Diallo to Iowa State confirmed.

I live in Kansas and yes KU homers are obsessed with KU Basketball. Their football program is a complete afterthought. And it's very similar to University of Iowa in that most of their fans didn't even go to school in Lawrence.

There is no doubt that there is an obsession with KU basketball. However, is there an obsession with basketball in general in Kansas, such as Indiana's obsession with high school basketball, not just the university? It seems to me that the Kansas obsession is much more focused on KU and not so much on high school as in Indiana.

I bet it's KU.
Question is why isn't ISU recruiting that NC post as well?

Most likely because the staff doesn't have a staff connection with that player to build a relationship. I am sure if they did ISU would have reached out previously. With Diallo's case ISU had a couple of contacts to (Matt A.) to the NYC AAU circut to get the foot in the door. Programs like KU/UK have the profile to reach out and get a players consideration list with out having a direct connection.

Can you imagine his family back in Mali reading through these threads? They must think America is the craziest country!

Well it would be a long shot seeing these numbers of internet users in Mali:

2.3% of the population (2013)

And you think most Iowa State fans attended Iowa State? That's not really how it works with public state universities.

Yes, most of our fanbase is made up of folks that went to Iowa State. Aside from these last few years of basketball there really hasn't been much of a bandwagon for Iowa State sports.
