**OFFICIAL I HATE THE CHICAGO CUBS THREAD**

I find myself hating the Cubs every season as well - and I'm a Cubs fan.

Seriously, though; if a fan can't handle splitting a two game series with a rival in games 1 and 2 of 162 they are being just a little bit entitled.

You're acting like the Cubs are the only team that has EVER done anything like this. It's part of the business of baseball.
 
The sCrUBS are without question the worst franchise in all of professional sports (football, baseball, basketball). Their fans are also the worst. Their 'fans' throwing balls on the field after the opposing team hits a home run and dumping beer on opposing players. It's something that makes you want to see this team lose. Far and away the most drunken obnoxious fans in sports.

Every year you can count on them to be consistent. They will always figure out a way to screw it up. Then they'll proceed to blame that old billy goat. Anybody who is blaming a goat for that long of losing is CRAZY.

I know I've posted this before, but why the **** does almost every other fanbase hate the Cubs?

It's not like they've ruined your season any time recently. It's not like they're an evil empire like the Yankees who buy ever free agent on the market.

They're just the Cubs. Why the eff do you care if they lose. Cardinals fans should LOVE the Cubs, yet they get all preachy and d-baggy whenever there's discussion about the Cubs.

We get it. We don't win very much.


I think deep down other teams fans hate the Cubs because they lose and their fans still love them. The Cardinals fans think everyone should love them because they win the NL Central regularly and have won WS championships, yet people still love the Cubs instead. It eats at you because you can't understand it.


Worry about your own team and Cubs fans will worry about the Cubs.

This is why it's going to be such an enjoyable year to sit back and watch the Cubs not reach these unreal expectations. The meltdown(s) that happens will be epic.

Go for it! Enjoy it! Just shut the hell up about it.

It seems like some fans enjoy bashing on the Cubs more than they enjoy watching their own team.

I have yet to talk to one Cubs fan who is expecting much this season. There will be no melt-down.

Really? Don't get out much do you? Try wearing a visiting team jersey to an Eagles or Raiders game.

And what is really so bad about throwing a homerun ball back?

I think we all can see crazy in this statement, but it ain't coming from no Billy Goat.

Sums up my opinion. Cubs fans can get pretty annoying but it's usually a fairly entertaining meltdown each season.
