Bad Calls Compilation Video

Thoughts:

Add the no-hold call against Bibbs in OSU game.
Add the no-review Lockett catch from KSU game.
Don't use Aaron Craft play, and keep video focused on Big 12.

How about showing the ISU vs. Michigan State basketball game where Michigan State was allowed to bring it's "own" green floor to a neutral site in the NCAA tourney. Forgot the year but it's always stuck with me. At the end of the year, the NCAA banned teams from ever doing this again.

Can't watch the video yet (no Youtube at work), but did it include the OSU catch made with the receiver fumbling the ball and it hitting the ground first?

I guess it was green and white. I never noticed it until you pointed it out there. Not that I think its a big deal, not NEARLY as big a deal as the 'Blarge'. By the way....don't watch it, you'll just have your heart ripped out again. I just re-watched it a few weeks ago, and it still pains me.

If nothing else, it should have been grounding which wasn't called either.

It was a fumble no doubt about it. The clip in OP's video is too short, there are more camera angles showing a fumble in the full video.

RGIII's reaction to the play says it all. How many quarterbacks do you see panic and scramble for the ball after an incomplete pass?

Add the TCU game from last year. The TCU receiver was ruled ineligible because he ran out of bounds and came back in. The refs reviewed it and ruled that the ISU defender forced the receiver out of bounds, therefore, he was eligible after all.

Right, it's not like he got bumped out of bounds and came back in and the play continued. He literally ran down THE SIDELINES for yards and yards before coming in-bounds at the last second to catch it.

As a post-****** (S C R I P T)to the whole thing - though it's not ISU related - you could have the video clip of the official giving the fist-pump after the Texas TD reception. With a nice little, "So now it's plain to see, all the Big XII officials are just disinterested interpreters of the rules. At least Colorado got - and took - the chance to escape the tyranny."

Thanks for posting. I had not seen that one before. Terribly inaccurate call.

One could also include the horrendous spots in favor of A&M the last time they played in Ames. The ones that led to all of the CPR gifs freaking out on the sideline. Some of those spots were a full yard or two ahead of were the A&M ball carriers were tackled or went out of bounds. It was pathetic.

I thought the most common gif of CPR freaking out on the sidelines (complete with electric guitar) was when the ball carrier was tackled in bounds as the clock was running down and they inexplicable stopped the clock giving the other team essentially a free time out.

By the way, was anyone else bothered by the PxP guy for the last game. He couldn't call where the ball carrier was down and usually wasn't even close. There were a few times that he was a full five yards off. Seriously, how hard is it to take a peek at the official on the far side line and see where he is marking the ball down?

It was like listening to Paul Allen on the Vikings radio broadcasts. He will tell you that they have a first down on the 36 yardline and then after the second down play to the 47 will tell you that it is second and 3 at the 46. WTF? If you call it wrong, correct it, don't just keep blundering on.

Great call...the freakin' fist pumping ref after Texas TD is a MUST in this video.

After the debacle from last Saturday, I was throwing around the idea of making a video about some the bad calls that have transpired in the last few years. I wanted to use the calls from KSU this past year but I couldn't find them unless I downloaded the whole game, and I haven't much luck in doing so when I try to attempt that. I would say enjoy, but I probably should say brace yourself instead.

Great Trailer. Keep adding. I know there are tons more.

Fantastic stuff.

And this is why unless you are an Iowa State fan (or a fan of a yet unknown team with as many apologizes as Iowa State has), you can't understand it. I watch that and I literally feel like I'm getting sucker punched.

This was a pretty well made video.
