Must win next week?

I hate that Toledo is a loseable game that has now turned into a must win.

Get pumped for homecoming people...

Idk about this upcoming game, but I wonder how many people in the stands will be dressed up like Big 12 officials for our next Big 12 game?

Watch out guys. Toledo just beat Western Michigan on the road after WMU's kicker missed an extra point in overtime. They are undefeated in the MAC and not that bad.

WMU is bad though. I think we win Saturday, but that doesn't mean much.

To keep the attendance respectable it's a must win. From a coaching standpoint I'm not sure it matters, because of the buyout.

Correct. Rhoads will be here next year at a minimum IMO. JP can't afford to fire him after this year. And JP knows he can still sell tickets next year because people will want to come see the new SEZ, so I think Rhoads will be here next year for sure.

Remember, we are still ISU. If we have to continue paying Rhoads for a bunch of years, what kind of head coach can we afford to bring in to replace him?

After Toledo's win today against W. Michigan, Sagarin may very well have them ranked ahead of ISU when his poll comes out. So, should we really expect to win against a team ranked higher than us? Wouldn't that be a little unreasonable?

Toledo is ranked 6th in FBS for total offense. I know they have a weak schedule but we shouldn't overlook them. WMU is not good, but to be fair, their game tonight was in poor conditions.

What's their defense ranked? Because so far, on the season I'm FAR more impressed with our defense's ability to handle a more potent offense, than our offense's ability to take on a salty defense.

You are right. If we overlooked Valparaiso we would be making a big mistake.

114th... I'm thinking it will be a shootout if our offense shows up.

If we lose next week, I'm done with Cyclone sports until early November when I can get into Hilton.
