Are you talking length or width? When I was around 12, I shredded my thighs diving into the canal off a seawall. Flat dive...forgot about the barnacle incrusted mangrove root mass under the surface (the water was high due to recent hurricane activity). Some of the cuts were deep, some shallow...they ran the length of my thighs...about seven inches long. They weren't able to put stitches in on the deeper ones, so they wrapped my legs tightly with gauze to try to hold the skin together. The shallow ones, and the ends of the deeper ones are all blended in with the rest of the skin now. You can see them if you do a close inspection. The edges/sides of the bigger ones never healed together properly, and left scars up to 1/2 inch wide. Those have never tanned. They stay my normal "beige" color despite how deeply tanned my legs get. So...I look like I'm part zebra when I've spent a lot of time in a swimsuit. The worst ones are above the hems of most of my shorts, so they are rarely seen anymore. :)

Oh! No it's just a thin line. Well. It's a 90 degree angle. But it's thin.

Do you know how it went yet? Or is it all day Preschool?

Just got a note from the wife, who got an e-mail from the teacher during rest time:

He is doing really good right now! He was a little sad at first, but going outside brightened his day! He was kind of Miss Emily and I's helper today! He ate great (he told us his dad eats everything so that is why he does:)Resting now and doing well!
Have a great rest of your day!

So when we dropped him off, it was no big deal. But, I admittedly got pretty sad just after leaving for work. Our tradition was that I'd say "Bye, have a good night, I love you", and he'd repeat each...missing that today really kind of bummed me out.

I haven't really said it that much, but I work 2nd shift. My wife works part time, 3 days a week. So on the days she worked all day, I'd have them all morning, we had a sitter for the overlap from when I left for work and she got home. The days she didn't work, we all hung out. Then one day she works in the afternoon and the babysitter again came for that overlap period. So I would be with them from whenever I got up (7 when she works, usually 8 when she doesn't) until 1:30 every day during the week. This year both boys will be in daycare/preschool 3 days a week all day. We had the babysitter lined up thru the end of August, so these last few weeks she'll just be watching the youngest.

I had been looking forward to having some 'alone' time to do some hobbies that I let go when the kids came, but today, I'm really not looking forward to not seeing them those 3 days a week.

Ugh.

Wipe up your vagina and have a beer, Nancy! If I learned anything from my non-existent dad growing up, it's that men aren't allowed to think that way!
