Well I can't name the position he is in, though he's not low on the totem pole. Like I said, me and my friend argued why is he still on the team if he's right? When we tried pressing him he didn't budge, just said the university knows Bubu committed a crime. The 100% thing was a quote more than anything. I wish I was joking around but I'm not. The fact of the matter is this thing is taking way too long to decide.

If this unknown higher up fella knows 100% a crime was committed, why didn't he give the evidence to the Story County attorney, or at least why didn't he give it to the ALJ so he would have a leg to stand on if he sanctioned BuBu. Sounds like he's withholding evidence that the county attorney and alj could have used. Or is he going on heresay or a hunch? Still not buying it.

Have you read the release this evening? You can't be that daft, please say you aren't.

Boles and Palo have some more explaining to do.

It seems like the smart people in this aren't making comments, including Fred and BuBu. I have a feeling Boles is waiting to do his talking in court.

Yeah, they waited until after the fall semester started to issue the decision and say the would support a transfer. I would guess the vast majority of scholarships were filled at this point, leaving him nowhere to really transfer to while still needing an NCAA waiver. It's just ISU spinning their side at this point. Both sides are in full on spin mode at this point.

Put $50 done Bubu doesn't put on a jersey this season.

I'm not for or against either side. Mistakes we're made by all parties involved, that is a fact we can agree on.

Just don't see him coming back.

You don't have to buy my story,in fact, I know most of you think i'm lying.I just relayed parts of a conversation I had. My opinion is if Bubu is found to not do anything he should play as long as Hoiberg wants to play him based on how good of a basketball player Bubu is.

And why didn't Mr. Boles do anything to expedite the process? Weird how that works.

I can tell you from experience that the process you go through with regards to the ISU code of conduct is complete BS. Basically there are politics and PR aspects to it and fair is not the determining factor. They would prefer to stop any potential bad PR regardless of whether or not someone is actually guilty of anything wrong. From my experience there was not any significant internal investigation, no contradictory statements considered, no finding of actual facts, just a decision. Because I have seen this from the inside, I have a real hard time siding with the university on this stuff.

To say he was guilty of something. What? I don't know anyone in college that wasn't guilty of violating some section of the code of conduct at one time or another. If you didn't, you should go back to college and do it right this time!!!

There are plenty of things. But don't play that game. A bunch of rampant speculation wouldn't be useful at this point.

Die4Cy, just one question, could have this "rampant speculation" been used to justify the sexual misconduct code violation?

If your "source" has what they say is 100% proof that Bubu raped this girl then they should go to the police, that's all I'm saying.

yeah we told him that. Like I said, I think how ISU is handling this is stupid just like the majority of you (based on the thread). The questions you guys are asking are all good ones I wish I would have asked the guy I was talking too.

This is important too. It wasn't like this process was a ray of sunshine.

Re: More kindling for the Bubu dumpster fire...

This was referenced towards the end of the 39 page (and going) other thread about Bubu, but since I came across this on ESPN.com I thought I would share it here.

Not really much of an article, just a quick blurb.

As if the plot needed any more thickening....

Iowa State Cyclones say Bubu Palo was eligible to transfer - ESPN

"Iowa State would support a waiver for Palo to transfer." that is far from a guarantee that it would be accepted by the ncaa. and bubu is supposed to put his trust in isu to put in a good word for him? riiiiiiight.

Re: More kindling for the Bubu dumpster fire...

Bubu's dismissal left plenty of time to figure out a transfer. He and his attorney didnt request one, although ISU and Pollard clearly were okay with one had he applied. Maybe Bubu looked around and didnt like the options. But staying was clearly a bad decision. Not the first he's ever made.
