***OFFICIAL #9 ISU DEFEATS #7 BAYLOR POSTGAME THREAD***

I kind of know the guy who posted that, we were facebook friends until that post.
He's sort of a tool when it comes to ISU jealousy. Was laughing at ISU during the 2010 floods and thought it was funny. Was a Texas fan in high school, is now an Iowa fan because everyone else up there is. Went to Hawkeye Community College and I'm fairly certain he didn't graduate.

Is that Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo or Iowa City?

I don't know if this has been asked, but Matt Thomas didn't play much in the 2nd half. I thought he played well in the first half. Was it mentioned on here why this might have been?

Tavern Hokism at its finest right there.

Best guess is that we wanted more defense on the perimeter. Also, it was probably more to due with how well the backcourt of Morris, Kane, and Long were playing together than anything Thomas did not do.

Correction--it was '99-00 team that was legit. '00-01 peaked in February and tanked at the end.

But yeah...I was just thinking about how good the '99-00 team was, and while this team has been surprisingly god, I just can't get to that place to put them next to a serious elite team that played in an era where every decent player didn't bolt for the NBA after one season.

Baylor will be fine, good team. I actually think drew is getting better, slow learning curve but i think he can be a a good game coach eventually. He isn't as bad as people makE him out to b

Could be but still got a ways to go.

I keep thinking back to those World University Games last summer. That Heslip kid was absolute nails in those games and he's sort of a bystander in this outfit. Maybe that isn't apples to apples or maybe Scott Evil can't figure it out.

Scott Drew's comments about a NC was a troll job by him trying to get us out of focus. Fred would have none of it.

Morris and Long went 5-9 from 3 with 8 assists 3 steals and zero turnovers. I'm guessing that's why.

Just checked, and we are still #2 in RPI and #1 in BPI, opening up our lead a bit.

That was actually our highest BPI game score of the season, just edging out the Akron and Auburn performances.

The fact that we are that high in RPI and BPI at this point in the season is huge. They mean something now, and I think it also means if we lose a couple games to good teams, we aren't going to drop much.

This. His perimeter D was not the best. Haslip was draining most of his three's in the first half and when I noticed it was Matty Ice guarding. It seemed Morris/Long did just a little better on the defensive side.

This may have already been mentioned, but I would recommend watching the Baylor player interviews from the post game. Very complimentary and well-spoken. And Franklin was pretty funny, crackin a few jokes.

I thought the same thing. Jameis Winston needs to take post-game interview tips from Franklin.

I was very surprised at how good of a post game interview they were.

I will fully admit that I have never had the highest view on Baylor bball players since they willingly bought into Drew and his recruiting tactics.

I never got to mention this during the game, but from the "Random Thought Department," Heslip has a very nice, business class/young professional comb-over.
