NBA: *** NBA Playoffs Thread V2.0 ***

****, at this rate, nobody will have an active account to play the next mafia.

I'm thinking we need to put mafia on hold for two weeks. Possibly four. Hopefully not perma.

This is the end for me I'm done with the NBA. I watched 4 games this year (all in the finals). The NBA is awful, but Lebron and his "humble" acceptance speech is the final nail in the coffin for me.

No kidding. Makes you want to puke.

If he was so "humble", maybe he wouldn't have shoes that say he's a 2 time NBA Champ on them BEFORE he's even won 2 championships. You call that "humble"?

If he's so humble... why did he promise 7+ NBA titles when he came to Miami? Why did he have an hour long special on ESPN to announce his decision?

He's done so many things that guys like Jordan, Magic, Bird, Erving, Russell, Oscar Robertson, etc wouldn't even think of doing. Yes, all of these guys were competitive, great players, but they didn't act like idiots.

The best thing about tonight...the NBA season is finally over

Correct.

At this point, I'd much rather watch football of any kind, college basketball, golf of any kind, soccer, probably hockey, and even baseball (and I really don't like watching baseball) over the NBA.

You know in the NFL when some guy makes a good tackle when they are losing by 30 pts, and he gets up and acts like an idiot while doing some kind of stupid dance to celebrate his one good play of the game.... that's what the NBA is like after nearly every single basket.

good post. I doubt we see any of the people you mention team up with other hall of famers. That's what's wrong with the NBA today, everybody wants to cruise to titles and not try to build a team. Why I like the NFL more than the NBA, even though I like basketball more.

All of that is fair and NFL >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NBA.

Yet MJ and a number of others were not close to the saints people think they were. The media/Internet were just not there to exploit it.

I agree MJ wasn't a saint, but he didn't seek help to win a title. Why LeBron will never reach jordan status no matter what he does imo.

Jordan didn't seek help because it was there and added to the team without him begging for it - that we know of. Again, Jordan could have made some demands the media/interwebs didn't get a chance to exploit.

I agree that MJ is a better player. Just don't subscribe to the thought that LBJ is a "bad" guy.

Yeah it's too bad none of those guys ever played with another hall of famer. Imagine the careers they could have had!
