IM STILL LOL'ING AT MYSELF

I agree MJ wasn't a saint, but he didn't seek help to win a title. Why LeBron will never reach jordan status no matter what he does imo.

He didn't ******* have to! He lucked into a trade for Pippen with a top five pick and Grant with the 10th. James never had anything close. That's not to mention that LeBron was simply leading his Cleveland team to too good of records to even have that chance.

Yeah it's too bad none of those guys ever played with another hall of famer. Imagine the careers they could have had!

I'm talking about actively recruiting a super team, most of those teams were built through drafts.

Where did LeBron ever have that choice? Was he supposed to throw a season to get a good pick. Picking 25th or worse every year isn't building a championship team.

This isn't a new thing - LBJ is far from the first and only guy that has tried to assemble a team. And as noted, tough to draft top talent when your team is drafting in low rounds.

he didn't have to recruit a hall-of-famer plus an all-star to do it. More people would have respect for him if he tried building something in Cleveland, tried getting an all-star and some decent role player starters rather than going to Miami.

What if Jordan was with Cleveland, you think he'd switch teams? I doubt it, he'd try to build something where he's at. I'd think Jordan would be too competitive to do that, guess we'll never know.

He did try. Cleveland had every chance to improve talent. They made poor decisions and didn't so enough. Ceiling was reached there.

This MJ sainthood really should stop. No one knows what he would have done in today's NBA. What I do feel very, very confident in - MJ would not be viewed as highly if he played in today's media/Internet age.

He probably would have quit basketball to play single A baseball earlier

This thread has served it's purpose just close it before anymore people get a cf vacation.

There are some people still discussing the game and playoffs (although I'm not happy about the result so I'm boycotting ESPN for a bit).

If everyone gets along, no one should be getting any vacations.

Jordan would have left Cleveland if he didn't have faith in the management. Just like Lebron did. People have to admit Jordan was ridiculously fortunate.
