Didnt Walsh have a ridiculous number of touchbacks last year?

I doubt this guy kicks off.

Also, I would be very disappointed if the Vikes cut someone because they had outspoken political views (which I don't consider "antics")

I think it has more to to with inconsistent performance and money. Kluwe was in the bottom 10 in yards per punt this last season, but in the top 10 in salary. For a punter, that is a recipe for getting replaced.

Also he was injured last year. Kluwe wasn't a bad punter though. And if he is getting cut do to off the field stuff, it is probably his refusal to be in any way politically correct during his speaking out his political views.

He used a lot of colorful language and didn't seem to care to listen to the FO. That probably doomed him more than anything.
 
My friend who's a vikings fan said he stopped practicing hard and complained when he did.
 
His antics were covering the Hall of Fame emblem on his jersey, his comments made during the lockout, and the way in which he delivers his political views on twitter and the radio. Not his actual views which are fairly mainstream.

They got pick 229 back that they traded to the Pats then got traded to the Bucs and now back. For moving down to pick 196 in the round.

At this point, I'm not real happy with the Vikings draft, I'm not sure if they know what they are doing. It will be really interesting to see how Ponder plays. I hope he has a good year, but I'm not banking on it.

Are you serious? They had 4 gaping needs and absolutely nailed 3 of them down. They then took a couple LBs and linemen for depth. What else did you want? Their 1st round was amazing.

So what would have made this a successful draft to you?
 
Why do so many people have to complain about something no matter what? I'm not just referring to this draft either.
 
One of the best drafts by the Vikings that I can remember! Can't wait for fall (OK, after this crappy/cold spring, I guess I can wait), but seriously...let's have a little summer, and then bring on football season...go Cyclones! Go Vikings!

He was probably hoping for Tavon Austin in the 1st, after a trade down. Then take Dee Milliner in the 2nd. Instead we ended up with the #1 DT, #2 WR (#1 non slot), #2-4 CB, and #1 P. What a s*** draft.
