Really? Orbitz still shows many hotels with rooms for Dec 29-Jan 1.

Now you know what I've going thru! Hopefully they have us blocked and you can go down with us! I still haven't heard back from our hotel, but I also have the city helping out

I'm checking hotelplanner.com on the Liberty Bowl website and it shows no rooms available for that weekend in Memphis. Cyclone fans rock! You may have to go to one just outside of Memphis.
 
I just did a quick search of Memphis hotels during that time period through our corporate travel agency thing and these are showing up as sold out... looks pretty rough:

Memphis Marriott Downtown
Crowne Plaza Memphis Downtown
Courtyard Memphis Downtown
Comfort Inn Downtown
Sleep Inn at Court Square
SpringHill Suites Memphis Downtown
Sleep Inn at Court Square

But The Madison Hotel 79 Madison Ave Memphis, TN 38103 is showing vacancies, although rather pricey

I'm finding some available at the Super 8 Downtown Memphis.
 
Has anyone stayed in the Hampton Inn in Shady Grove?? Looks like it was rennovated in 2012. I just got two rooms there for the 29, 30, 31st. About 8-9 miles from Beale/Stadium but thats what texis are for!!

I hear you. I am shocked how quickly the nicer downtown hotels sold out. I wonder how the Alumni block of rooms is doing at the downtown Marriott and if you can get "standby" if some are released back.

I have heard from others that "West Memphis" should be possibly avoided? Can anyone confirm?
