I hear you. I am shocked how quickly the nicer downtown hotels sold out. I wonder how the Alumni block of rooms is doing at the downtown Marriott and if you can get "standby" if some are released back.
I have heard from others that "West Memphis" should be possibly avoided? Can anyone confirm?
West Memphis is nasty. My Guard unit was warned about it before our overnight there, and our warnings didn't go far enough.
You should consider punching yourself or breaking your car windows before staying in West Memphis. It'll save you the time and hassle.
