Here is why I'm not worried (I know it sounds like a lame argument).
1)This coaching staff knows what it's doing.
2)It's early
3) the unkowns of the strategy
EG if the staff has decided to take a crack after 2 bowls in 3 years and a win over a #2 team on national TV to upgrade talent they may follow a strategy like this. 'Let's get some players locked in who have potential to make sure we can fill the roster'. Once we have that done let's take a serious shot at a team talent upgrade by recruiting guys that weren't answering a phone call from us 3 years ago.' You can't follow the 2nd part of this strategy without part one without risking ending the recruiting season with next to no commits ,iso you have to get some early commits. How many times has Chris and AA talked about depth on our team now? Depth is a luxury you must have in order to execute this strategy because without it if you don't get every 3 star recruit you can you can't even field a BCS team. (Have you guys not played dynasty mode on NCAA football

) Cyclone Football may be at the point where a change in recruiting is great (like someone said our previous recruiting classes have gotten us to a 5-7 win level)
I'm not saying that's what's happening, I'm saying it's possible, and we as fans have no idea. Which get's back to point 1. I trust the coaching staff. It could be anything. It could just be we have found a few diamonds in the rough and they all committed right away by coincidence and because we were by far their best offers.
Paul Rhoads and this staff are not going to fill this recruiting class with guys that can't help us win. They know what they are doing. What looks like an awful thing could just as easily be the next big step in the right direction for the program.
